THE ULTIMATE WAGYU DINING EXPERIENCE: BLACK OPAL SCOTCH FILLET

OUR WAGYU SCOTCH FILLET 8-9 MBS BLACK OPAL PROVIDES A CULINARY EXPERIENCE UNMATCHED

Indulge in the unparalleled taste and texture of our 8-9 MBS Black Opal Wagyu scotch fillet. Renowned for its exceptional marbling and stress-free upbringing, our wagyu beef offers a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.

Unlike traditional beef, wagyu is best-served medium-rare to medium, allowing its superior intramuscular fat to slowly caramelise, creating a deliciously crunchy texture. Even if cooked for a longer period, our wagyu scotch fillet remains tender and flavourful, making it the perfect choice for any quality dining occasion.

GET THE BEST FROM YOUR WAGYU

Although there are several methods to prepare Wagyu beef, we’ll stick to the most basic today: pan-frying and slicing. Because Wagyu beef cooks best at room temperature, remove it from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. As the pan warms, season the wagyu with rock salt and cracked black pepper.

Place the steak flat in the pan and cook for a few minutes after it’s hot. Cook the second side of your wagyu steak in the same way that you cooked the first. While the meat is cooking, make sure you baste it with the juices. Remove the wagyu beef from the pan and lay it aside for a few minutes to rest. Cut the skirt into bite-sized pieces after removing it.

Five Founders Beef

Carbon neutrality is Five Founders’ first step towards its long-term plan of delivering a greener future for the planet. Being ‘carbon neutral’ means carbon emissions produced by Five Founders (cattle) from paddock to plate is balanced out by funding an equivalent amount of carbon savings elsewhere in the world – as their journey to net zero continues, reducing their footprint through operational initiatives, such as implementing various renewable energy solutions, planting legume-based crops and trialing feed additives that reduce methane emission from its cattle.

From paddock to plate, Five Founders beef is the first beef product to be certified carbon neutral in Australia.  Born and raised in northern Australia, free to roam across 6 million hectares of the most pristine, natural environment for 600 days and grain finished for 100 days, Five Founders has no added hormone and is distinctively juicy and tender, with a well-balanced buttery sweetness.  Its beef as nature intended.
